Most of our items are made from food-grade* HDPE plastic, a thermoplastic polymer known for being a strong, durable, and versatile plastic material. Despite its toughness, HDPE is susceptible to scratches over time. When buying, know that your Plasztika piece will show it’s been loved.

We prefer to embrace the lived-in look, but if you have concerns please contact us for advice about buffing or re-sanding any surfaces. We do not recommend doing this without appropriate protection and guidance.

Using food-grade HDPE is our standard process, so items like tables and chopping boards are safe for food preparation. However, if your custom piece is not made from food-grade recycled materials, we will have a discussion with you to confirm you are aware.

We cost our items based on materials required, time to build and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a quote for your review and once an invoice is paid we’ll commence production.
